This is a decent place to stay. The staff and owners are friendly. The rooms are old and in need of remodeling. However, if you aren't picky, the Mountain Inn is safe and convenient. I have stayed here during Parents' Weekend a couple of times when the other hotels were full.
Google thinks I was here but I was actually at the Super 8 next door. I'll give them a five star review though. Happy Thanksgiving!
For the price it was good. Very clean and the bed was comfortable. The area is very quiet, away from road noise. The place needs maintenance, but for a good night's rest stop on a trip, it was fine.
Budget hotel. $50 for a room the Saturday before Thanksgiving was more than fair. Desk attendant was friendly. Room was clean and didn't smell like smoke. The linens weren't brand new but they were clean and did their job. The heater worked like it was supposed to. It also has a decent location. There is a Waffle House within walking distance. Just a bit down the road you can find a grocer, a dollar store, and other fast food places. Overall I can't complain and will probably try to make it to Monteagle before I get too tired on the way back so I can stay there again.
I had a very bad experience with this hotel even tho i only stayed for one night. When we arrived the room seemed fine until we used the toilet, the toilet would not flush even after 10-15 tries and the paper was coming off of the bathroom walls, the shower dripped onto the floor so you had to wipe it up when you finished, the fridge froze all our soda that we put in it, and the so called "breakfast" was some coffee and a muffin, i honestly am not sure how anyone could consider this a breakfast so after having the almost snack we had to leave to go get a real breakfast. However here are some pros to the hotel, cheap price, nice bed, lots of TV channels.
