I could just come here for the mashed potatoes. Wow! The lunch buffet was great. Not a large selection but what was available was very tasty. The brisket and smoked chicken was amazing.
My first time to visit. Loved the music, food, and store. Recommend to everyone for the atmosphere alone but then combined with everything else something to check out. I will definitely be back!
I had such a wonderful late lunch in a friendly, relaxing atmosphere. The cheeseburger was just awesome as were the sides, staff, and service. This will be a permanent stop on my trips south. I will make sure though that I add more time to visit longer in their wonderful store and sample more of their amazing dishes!
The gift shop and "museum" is very fun to look around.

What an interesting and kitschy place. The general store is worth a wander and they have homemade fudge, hot sauce and jams which were great. The dinner we had in the restaurant was just okay though. I chose the buffet. A great deal for only $9.99. There was soup and salad, corn bread, cinnamon rolls, flat beans, black beans, chicken fried and baked and pulled pork and mashed potatoes. It all tasted fairly good. However, the food was cold (probably from the AC and not being tended to properly on the buffet line). The chicken was overcooked and the beans were too. Even for me the lover of soft veggies. My husband chose the catfish and enjoyed it and my daughter had chicken also and hers was cooked well but they both got the same overcooked flat beans. The price is good but the food was mediocre. That said, they do have homemade ice cream and fried pies that looked scrumptious. I'd recommend you skip the meal and go right for dessert.
Food cold on buffet. Over salted green beans. Cornbread without flavor fried chicken breast good. Pulled pork not much taste and waitress did not offer any bbq sauces or explain any. Poor service. Very disappointed. Ate here before and it was much much better. That was in the spring last year as we passed thru moving south. Fudge sample delicious
